In stock Laprobes and Quilts:
All laprobes shown are completed and ready to be shipped. Our quilts and laprobes are meant to be used, and each is GUARANTEED to be an original, one of a kind creation. To this end, each piece is created, and then meticulously photographed in order to insure that there is never an exact duplication, regardless of the designs, fill fabrics or method of construction and/or quilting used.
The cost of each is determined by the stitch-count in all of the "blocks" combined, and the complexity of the assembly, more than by what is actually put on them. Each overall finished design is carefully thought and laid out before any actually stitching is ever begun. This is part of what makes each one special.
Each laprobe creation takes roughly 12 to 20 hours to complete. The larger sized works, such as bed quilts taking sometimes well over 100 hours to first stitch and then assemble. The final time is spent hand binding off the edges to give it a finished and smooth look. Whether you choose something from our "in stock" section, or decide to have one custom made to your specifications, we can assure you that it will, indeed, be unique, and we will NEVER release another one exactly like it.

Paint Horse Laprobe
This laprobe, done in brown tones, showcases the Paint Horse. Seven different blocks highlight both headshots and full body designs around the outside, with a montage work of a headshot wth a redwork mare and foal design imposed in the background and the "Paint Horse" lettering design in the top center position, outined in a deep, rich green.
The 'fill" fabric is a collection of blacks, browns, beiges and whites, both tacked and bare headed horses, and blends well with the designs used. Eggshell colored material draws the eye to the beautiful center design, and then a border of the same material finishes off the laprobe with a complimentary frame effect. A redwork (line drawing) heart-shaped rope design is the medium used for quilting, giving the robe a novel design, rather than the usual quilting techniques.
Sure to please any Paint Horse owner/trainer or anyone with an appreciation for the breed!
